Refund Policy
1. Scope
This Refund Policy applies to all payments made to the International Certified Forensic Investigators ("ICFI") for membership fees, certification programmes, examinations, training, events, and other professional services.
2. Membership Fees
Membership fees are generally non-refundable. Requests for refund submitted in writing within fourteen (14) days of payment may be considered, provided that the member has not accessed substantial member-only resources or benefits.
3. Certification & Examination Fees
The following terms apply to certification and examination fees:
- Application and assessment fees are non-refundable once processing has commenced.
- Examination fees may be transferred to a future sitting where written notice is provided at least fourteen (14) days before the scheduled examination.
- No refunds are issued for examinations missed without prior written notice.
- Fees associated with the issuance of credentials are non-refundable once the credential has been issued.
4. Training & Events
For paid training programmes and events:
- Cancellations received in writing more than thirty (30) days before commencement may be eligible for a refund, less administrative charges.
- Cancellations received between fourteen (14) and thirty (30) days before commencement may be eligible for a partial refund or credit at ICFI's discretion.
- No refunds will be issued for cancellations received less than fourteen (14) days before commencement.
- Where ICFI cancels a programme, registered participants will be offered a transfer or a full refund.
5. Method of Refund
Approved refunds will be issued to the original method of payment where possible, in the original currency. Bank or payment processor charges may be deducted from the refunded amount.
6. Force Majeure
ICFI is not liable for any failure or delay in the performance of services caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, governmental restrictions, or acts of war. In such cases, ICFI will work with affected participants to provide alternatives such as rescheduling or credit.
7. How to Request a Refund
Refund requests must be submitted in writing to info@icfi-global.org and must include the participant's full name, transaction reference, programme or service, and the reason for the request.
8. Changes to this Policy
ICFI reserves the right to amend this Refund Policy at any time. The most current version will be published on this page.
