Application Process

How to Apply for Certified Membership

The Certified Professional Forensic Investigator designation is the premier designation of the International Certified Forensic Investigators ®. This certification is attained by meeting the eligibility of both education and professional experience.

ICFI membership is open to professionals working in the forensic area with a minimum of three years experience in the profession or those who have successfully completed the Professional Forensic Investigator® - CPFInvestigator - program.

Examination Waiver

The designation approved under examination waiver program is “Certified Professional Forensic Investigator” (CPFInvestigator).

Examination waiver is offered to CA, ACCA, CPA’S and qualified Investigators with other designations who have been trained in public practice. The waiver program has a sunset clause and will expire on August 31st, 2027.
